Pyrite Cinder (Sulfuric Acid Slag)

 

Pyrite cinder is a waste residue generated from the process of producing sulfuric acid or sulfurous acid from pyrite. Its main chemical composition is Fe2O3:20-50%, SiO2:15-65%, Al2O3:10%, CaO: 5%,
MgO < 5% and S: 1-2%.

The most effective use of high ferrous pyrite cinder is as raw material for ironmaking.

1. Applicative Technology: Rotary Hearth Furnace Technology

In the condition of high temperature, the pellets are reduced and molten, to realize the separation of iron and slag, final product is granular iron. The technology has high degree of automation, the labor strength of workers is low, the working environment is good and the technology is environmentally friendly.

In the process, the coal gas generated as heat source is recycled.
